Dear Monocacy Lions & Friends:
Have you been wondering what you’re going to do with some of the gifts you received for Christmas or items you bought at other auctions? I have the perfect solution – donate them to the Monocacy Lions
Club Auction! Our auction is scheduled for Monday, February 22nd.
The festivities kick off with a social hour at 6:00 pm followed by dinner and auction at 7:00 pm. The auction will be held at St. Mary’s Pavilion in Barnesville. PDG Bill Lynch is catering the event and plans to serve his famous fried chicken. I urge all Lions to attend and invite a guest. The cost is $20 for guests, Affiliates members, Members At Large, and visiting Lions (no additional cost for Active members).
Each Lion is asked to donate at least one item for the Auction. You can drop off your items at the Pavilion on the day of the auction; the Pavilion will be open at 4:00 p.m. If you cannot attend the auction but wish to donate an item for auction, you can drop it off at the Jamison Real Estate Office in Poolesville.
Lion William Price will serve as our Auctioneer, so I’m sure the auction will be a fun and profitable event. Please note that this is not a charitable fundraiser. All proceeds from the auction will go into the club administrative account and be used to pay our club administrative expenses.
If you plan to attend, you can sign-up at our upcoming Lions meeting or contact me. Please R.S.V.P. by Thursday, February 18th.
So bring you auction items and your checkbook and we’ll see you on February 22nd !
Yours in Lionism,
Lion Bill Jamison
